Wheezing & Nebulized

At one of many urgent care trips this month, K was put on a nebulizer that only made his wheezing worse. Poor guy. Next time we go in I am driving to our neighboring town because after the treatment we received I will no longer be a patient there. On the plus side, he actually enjoyed the nebulizer thinking it was the funniest thing in the world and got praised by the nurse who til me she has never seen a child actually enjoy the treatment.

Mavea - Review & Giveaway

Gosh... Last night I must have drank a gallon of water. Normally, I am not big on it. Confession - I am super addicted to Mountain Dew. But when  I have a cold, nothing feels better on my throat than clean cold water. The lovely folks from Mavea sent me a really pretty, and very nifty Elemaris pitcher. See the picture? It looks even prettier in person.

It fits so nicely in my fridge door and I love the Mavea meter, with it's 3-way measurement that lets you know when it is time to change the filter. The handle is slip proof, and there is a handy flap at the top so you do not have to dissasemble to fill.

Personally, I feel there are so many pro's about owning your own filtration system and filter. It is more eco-friendly that using up jug after jug of water from the grocery store. It is more cost efficient as well! At my house we could spend over $90.00 on bottled water a month, when one filter will last several!

D also enjoys it. Because of the slip proof handle, him and his bad boy self can pour his own water. And he is really proud!

Wan't me to get to the good stuff !?

I am a terrible mother.

According to my six year old.

Conversation -

Me - *walks in to the kitchen to load dishwasher leaving D with the twins*

David - Mom, you are a horrible mother.

Me - *storms in to the living room* If you think I am a horrible mother, I will act like one. Go to your room and do not come out.

David - *horror in his eyes* But mom I didn't mean to say that!!!

Me - You didn't mean NOT to!!

David - *goes to room screaming tantrum ensues*

All I could think was, dear lord I have turned in to my mother! But I did not think she was horrible until I was at least nine! *sorry mommy!*

That and I used to HATE it when she told me that I did not mean to not do something. Whatever it was at the moment had sure as shit felt like an accident.

Bringing us to now, I have taken all of my spoiled child's privileges away. Computer. TV. DS. The whole none yards. He can play outside or build his Legos, but he is so focused and do upset about the ones he lost that he has forgotten about all the other fun things he can do.

Poor kid is still crying about it. If he just would come in here with a sincere apology he may in fact earn something back!

That however is something he will have to figure out on his own.

I have so much to do.

Organize and stay organized. Simplify life.

That was supposed to be my New Years resolution. As well as blog daily. Make good habits, break the bad.

Instead... I am dreading even stepping foot in to my living room. The kids "play area".

Problem - Having a play area that is also my living space.

Solution - Unknown.

It is simply chaos in there.

I believe I am going to start at the front door and work my way through. First getting everything out that does not belong.

I am thinking that nothing belongs other than my butt on the couch watching Live! With Kelly!

Some toys can stay, but not what we call "chokies" that will end up in sheer destruction of my twins.

The toys... Well if D does not want to put them away when he gets home, they will just get donated.

My couches scare me. That's what would be next. I think they wake up at night and eat things. I once found an entire bag of chips and a glass cup in there mixed in with the Lego's that inevitably end up in there.

Here is to hoping something gets done today!
